Come and Join Ignite Hope 2019: A Holiday Candlelight Walk – Things to do in Phoenix this weekend

One of the fun things to do in Phoenix this weekend is the 8th Annual Ignite Hope event happening on Saturday, 12/14/2019 at Phoenix Children’s Hospital!

One of the things to do in Phoenix this weekend includes Ignite Hope. It’s where thousands participate in a candlelight march to Phoenix Children’s Hospital to give hope and love for sick children.

The event is to commemorate Katie, a 15-year-old high school sophomore, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. Her friends and church mates held a candlelight vigil while undergoing treatment at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Thus, Ignite Hope was born.

The first inauguration of the Ignite Hope walk took place on December 2012. Katie and other patients was able to participate in the first Ignite Hope walk at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Unfortunately, Katie passed away last 09/17/2012, but her legacy continues every year.
