Original Art collections at DeGrazia’s Gallery in the Sun – One of the Fun Things to do near Phoenix

There are many fun things to do near Phoenix Arizona such as visiting The Gallery in the Sun located in Tucson!

One of the fun things to do near Phoenix when visiting the art gallery is to look at the original creations of Ettore “Ted” DeGrazia which will be displayed in The Gallery in the Sun.   The Gallery in the Sun and the gift shop are open daily from 10:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M.

There are many other fun things to do while enjoying the gallery.

Some of them include:

• Gallery Tours: Explore the art of Ted DeGrazia in a 10-acre foothill site. The tour includes the burial sites of Ted and Marion, the adobe Mission in the Sun (currently closed due to fire), Gallery in the Sun and cactus corral. Allow extra time to watch a 30-minute documentary about the artist.
• DeGrazia Paints the Jungle Exhibit: This shows a collection of colorful selection of paintings from the 1940’s and early 50’s inspired by the tropical jungles and cultures of Southern Mexico. This exhibit will be on display until 01/29/2020.

There is also a wide variety of paintings and artworks that the entire family can look at.

• Permanent collection: These are paintings that trace the history and cultures of the Southwest. The paintings are:

• Little Gallery: This gallery showcases artists from all mediums for two weeks.
