Adobe Mountain Railroad Museum and Desert Railroad – Fun Things to Do In Phoenix AZ For the Family

Whether you are young or old, if you like trains the Adobe Mountain Desert Railroad Park has something for you. This amazing 160 acre Desert Mountain Desert Railroad Park is part of the Adobe Dam recreation Park. It is more than just a train ride, there’s a terrific museum, train layouts and all skills of model railroading, a go kart track, and a golf course. The museum is open from mid September to early May. They just don’t have summer months. MLS, which stands for Maricopa live steamers, offers free train rides on Sundays.

Arizona model railroading society, AM RS, has a HO and and scale model railroad layouts located in a 3000 square-foot clubhouse.
